JAR is an independent property management company focused exclusively on residential and mixed-use buildings across London.
We act for developers, asset managers, freeholders and resident-led ownership structures, providing thoughtful, accountable management of complex buildings.
Our approach combines strong operational management with clear communication, financial discipline and long-term stewardship.
JAR was established in 2012 to provide a more considered alternative to volume-driven property management, at a time when London’s residential sector was becoming increasingly complex. As mixed-use schemes, institutional investment and large-scale residential developments reshaped the market, there was growing demand for managing agents able to provide stronger operational oversight, clearer reporting and a more accountable service.
From the outset, the business has focused exclusively on residential and mixed-use buildings across London, building long-term relationships with developers, freeholders, asset managers and resident-led ownership structures.
In 2025, a management buyout led by CEO Fiona Docherty and COO Rob Soning marked the next stage in the company’s evolution, establishing a clearer management structure and renewed long-term direction for the business.
Today, JAR’s senior team brings together experience from across the residential property sector, including operational management, finance, compliance, building safety, marketing and asset management. While the market continues to evolve, our approach remains consistent: practical management, clear accountability and close attention to the day-to-day running of buildings.
We remain deliberately selective in the instructions we accept. This allows us to stay close to our buildings, responsive to our clients and accountable for the standards we deliver.
Residential buildings are becoming more complex, more regulated and more operationally demanding. Expectations from owners, investors and residents continue to evolve alongside them.
JAR is built around a straightforward principle: professional property management should be accountable, considered and delivered to a consistently high standard.
We aim to manage buildings responsibly, support the long-term interests of our clients and create stable, well-run environments for the people who live in them.
Our work is guided by a small number of principles:
Clear governance, strong financial control and responsibility for the buildings we manage.
Experienced, practical decision-making grounded in the realities of residential management.
Clear communication and straightforward reporting for clients, residents and stakeholders.
Balancing the interests of owners, residents and resident-led ownership structures professionally and consistently.
We believe good property management is built on doing the fundamentals properly and maintaining high standards over time.
JAR is led by an experienced senior team with backgrounds across residential property management, finance, operations and building safety.
The leadership team remains closely involved in client relationships and the oversight of the buildings we manage, ensuring decisions are informed, practical and commercially aware.
